Shoppers "terrified" over Marks and Spencer's new Colin the Caterpillar cake

Marks & Spencer's customers are claiming to be "terrified" of its new Colin the Caterpillar cake.

The new Bunny design is being released as part of M&S' Easter range and will be on sale on March 31.

However, after the cake was shared across social media ahead of its release, customers have been quick to state how scary they find it.

On Twitter, user @WeatherGalx said: "I love Colin the caterpillar cake from M&S, but I'm sorry, their new version looks terrifying ... a rabbit caterpillar?! With 6 legs?"

While on Facebook, one user said: "Most disturbing looking bunny I’ve ever seen."

Another added: "It looks possessed and since when has a rabbit had 6 legs... Defo won't be buying."

The cake is priced at £10 and will be available across all stores when it is released.

Other items from Marks & Spencer's Easter range includes a ‘cracked egg’ trifle with chocolate custard and orange ‘egg yolk’ glaze, Belgian chocolate eggs with a mousse filling, and a burrowing bunny cheesecake, complete with cookie crumb soil.
