Marks & Spencer launch Halloween themed Colin the Caterpillar cake for £7

Marks & Spencer 's Colin the Caterpillar cake is a British staple and a failsafe for birthdays.

Now the supermarket has given its famous cake a spooky makeover for Halloween .

Ideal for parties, the Creepy Colin cake is available in store and comes in at £7, which is the same price as the original Colin.

Featuring devilish red eyes and fake blood splatters, this ghastly yet tasty cake is sure to get guests in the spooky spirit.

Lovable Colin's usual white chocolate face and feet are now in a ghoulish green hue - but taste just as delicious.

The frightful finishing touches are maggots that are made from solid milk chocolate.

If you're throwing a massive party, M&S is also selling a Creepy Colin that comes with Mini Zombie Friends online for £13.

It serves up to 25 people and will be available to collect between October 23-31.
