Marks & Spencer cocktail sausage rolls recalled after incorrect use-by date warning

Marks and Spencer is recalling some packs of its cocktail sausage rolls because some may be labelled incorrectly.

The Food Standards Agency has issued a recall notice for the product and said customers should return them for a full refund.

It said: "Marks & Spencer is recalling M&S 20 Cocktail Sausage Rolls due to incorrect date labelling. A small number of packs have been incorrectly labelled with a ‘use by’ date of 10 January 2022."

On the risk to consumers, it added: "The affected product has been labelled with incorrect ’use by” date of 10 January 2022 and may be unsafe to eat.

M&S is recalling some packs of its 20 cocktail sausage rolls (M&S/FSA)

The affected products come in a 296g pack.

A product recall notice from M&S states: "Customer safety is of paramount importance to Marks & Spencer and we take all issues regarding the production of our foods extremely seriously.

"Marks and Spencer is recalling its 20 Cocktail Sausage Rolls given an incorrect date code printed on the label on a small number of packs."

The affected products have the barcode number 00395724.

Customers are being advised to return the sausage rolls to their nearest store for a full refund.

M&S added: "No other M&S products are affected. We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused."
