Marks & Spencer announce change to Food Halls

Marks & Spencer has announced a big change to its in store bakeries.

After 12 months of planning, the supermarket says a section of each of its Food Hall will look like "you've never seen it before" after a number of changes.

The new additions will make its bakeries feel "completely different," Liverpool Echo say.

M&S has added eight new products which have taken a whole year to develop. The new items include Banana Bread and Almond Muffin, New Mushroom & Cheese Swirl, New Handcrafted Baguettes, New Handcrafted Poppy Seed Burst Roll and more.

There will also be a new six-pack of its Yumnuts too which include flavours such as milk & cookies.

M&S bakeries first opened in 1996 and quickly became a staple on any M&S Food Shop whether shoppers were grabbing a quick snack or a treat for friends.

The new release of the new products follow M&S' iconic Colin the Caterpillar's 30th birthday with saw the retailer release a supersize version of the cake as well as a number of other items too.

The retailer recently took to its Facebook page to announce the launch of its new food item, its 'super-sized' Colin the Caterpillar cake.

M&S' post read: "Colin… but SUPER-SIZED! Available exclusively online to collect in store, our GIANT Colin the Caterpillar cake (with a giant white-choc face!) will make your birthday extra-sweet."

However, not everyone was excited about the new product with many feeling it was overpriced.
