Marks and Spencers Edinburgh: 20 staff self-isolating after positive COVID-19 test

An M&S in Edinburgh reportedly has 20 members off work in self-isolation after one employee tested positive for coronavirus.

An M&S employee told Edinburgh Live from that staff at M&S Craigleith Retail Park had been asked to remain at home after a food assistant at the store had tested positive for coronavirus.

Worried staff members were told the news.

An M&S spokesperson told Edinburgh Live that: “The health and wellbeing of our colleagues and customers always comes first.

"We have enhanced cleaning procedures and measures in place across all M&S stores to help safeguard customers and colleagues.

"If a colleague shows symptoms of coronavirus, we will always respond in line with government guidelines and colleagues can self-isolate on full pay.”

M&S refused to comment on whether the store did have staff in self-isolation or who had tested positive for COVID-19.
