Marks and Spencer shoppers split over 'beautiful' £110 'Rupert the Bear' dress

Marks and Spencer shoppers were divided after spotting a "beautiful" £110 midaxi dress online.

High street favourite Marks and Spencer makes sure shoppers are updated on all the newest product launches and stock through its range of social media channels.

The retailer boasts dedicated pages for food, fashion, homeware and more. M&S is able to showcase its lineup of products to millions of followers.

Recently, the retailer caused excitement on its main Instagram page after sharing a photo of its "bold" checked high neck midaxi dress.

The dress, which costs £110, is from Danish fashion company Selected Femme and is available to purchase online only.

It features an all over check print on a yellow fabric, with puff sleeves and tie-back detailing.

Captioning the image of the dress, which was originally posted by @feguimaraess, M&S penned: "@feguimaraess brightening our feed with this bold and beautiful checked maxi from SELECTED FEMME".

The dress proved popular among Marks and Spencer's followers, racking up more than 2,700 likes in a day.

Shoppers shared their thoughts in the comments section.

Ange said: "Words fail me" and posted a wowed emoji.

Tara said: "Love it".

Sapna said: "Beautiful".

Natalia commented: "Loveee".

Donna said: "Love love love".

Some shoppers were unimpressed with the dress.

Rachel said: "Like a Rupert the bear dress".

Carol said: "Too much - sorry not like!"

Sian said: "Those sleeves are going to be a nightmare..."

Kat commented: "Those sleeves... Wow just too much".

But others were keen to get their hands on it.

Isanna added: "Please!!!! Send me that dressss" and shared a string of heart eye emojis.
