Marks and Spencer shoppers planning to 'stock up' on 'gorgeous' £5 treat

Marks & Spencer has caused huge excitement among shoppers this week after sharing its new Christmas range online.

The retailer often shares its new clothing and food products with its customers via social media, leaving many fans desperate to get their hands on the items featured.

Now, M&S has shared a photo of its Shortbread Light-Up Houses , which are now available in three colours - and shoppers can’t get enough.

The festive treat has proven a hit with fans, who were quick to tag friends and make plans for their next M&S trip.

Sharing the photo to Instagram, the retailer wrote: “If our light-up liqueurs and chocolates weren’t enough, feast your eyes on our SUPER festive Shortbread Light-Up Houses!

“These totally terrific tins come in three colours and are filled with our signature all-butter Scottish shortbread, making them the perfect gifts for just a fiver each!

“And when the shortbread is all gone, they make ideal ornaments for the mantelpiece or dining table. Collect all three and create your own mini light-up village!”

The post quickly racked up more than 8,500 likes and hundreds of comments within hours of being online.

Shoppers were quick to share their thoughts in the comments section, with many claiming they’d need to rush to get their hands on a light up house.

One person said: “Oh they look great” and a second wrote: “Yes!! Gorgeous! Xxx”.

A third tagged a friend and added: “We need to collect these x”.

A fourth said: “Love it so much” and a fifth wrote: “Oh my god!! Love love love”.

A sixth replied to a friend and said: “Let’s stock up ASAP!!!!!”

Another added: “Oh my goodness! Yum”.

The Shortbread Light-Up Houses come in red, gold and silver and are priced at £5.
