Marks and Spencer shoppers go wild for store's new steak and cheesy chips pie

Marks and Spencer has launched its first ever steak and chips pie. Yes, you read that right.

The high street retailer has announced the new addition has been added to its Gastropub range to coincide with Pie Week. Check out a selection of mouthwatering pies you can try in and around Cardiff here.

The exclusive and unique steak and chips pie is made with two-hour slow cooked braised cuts of British beef in a rich ale gravy, with a layer of smoky tomato chutney, encased in an all-butter pastry base and topped with cheesy chips.

M&S has called the product a supermarket first that's "guaranteed to blow the doors off any dinner at home".

The pie costs £5 and shoppers will be able to get their hands on it from Wednesday, March 9.

M&S shared a picture of the gorgeous pie on Tuesday night and wrote: "It's Pie Week! And, we have a VIP update (very important pie!!).

"Launching tomorrow, THE pie for you to try - and only to be found at M&S! Our NEW Gastropub Steak AND Chips Pie is hitting the shelves!

"Made with 2hr slow cooked braised cuts of British beef, with a layer of tomato chutney, encased in an all-butter pastry base and topped with cheesy chips! Yup, that's right, TOPPED WITH CHIPS!!!"

At the time of writing the post had racked up over 8,000 likes in just 15 hours with many fans and celebrities commenting on the new product.

"I need this is my tummy!!" wrote presenter Emma Willis, while actress Catherine Tyldesley added: "Oh my days can I just move in please???"

"Whaaaaaaat," a shopper simply wrote, while another fan added: "This looks banging!"
