Marks and Spencer shoppers baffled by new Colin cake for one reason

Marks and Spencer has released a brand new Colin the Caterpillar cake.

Especially for Father's Day, which is just around the corner, the high-street store has unveiled a limited-edition version of the treat.

Called the 'Meet My Hero Colin', the cake comes complete with cape and mask, a super cute gift for chocolate loving dads.

Posting the new Colin on its social media platforms, M&S said: "Meet My Hero Colin! This new limited-edition, 'super' giftable half-size version of our much-loved Colin cake has been created especially for Father's Day, complete with an edible cape!

"You can even cut your own personal hero a mask from the box. Available in store and online now."

While many loved the latest edition, calling it a "great idea" and a "sweet" version, others were absolutely baffled as to why the cake wasn't available in full size.

One shopper wrote: "Love it, but why half size? Most dads I know would love a full size one."

Another added: "If someone bought me a half size Colin I would be disappointed."

"Why would you ever need a half sized Colin?!?" asked another

While another questioned: "Does it cost half the price though?"

The product is priced at £5 but it also available as part of a gift hamper for Father's Day, costing £25.

The Dad is My Hero Cake and Chocolates Gift set and more information can be found on the M&S website now.
