Marks and Spencer now selling £30 food box that is packed with shopping essentials

Marks and Spencer are proving that just because we're in lockdown doesn't mean we can't have a few treats...and we're not talking about loo roll.

Hot off the heels of Morrisons, who have already launched a food box, the high street retailer has come up with its very own version.

They include everyday items such as toilet roll, tea, coffee, rice, pasta as well as tins of soup and baked beans.

Plus, the retailer has thrown in a few luxuries, like Percy Pigs, shortbread biscuits, salted peanuts and chocolate buttons.

You can choose between two different boxes - a vegetarian one priced at £30 and one containing meat and fish which is an extra £5.

Delivery is £3.99 but is ideal if you're looking to avoid a stressful trip to the shops.

Marks and Spencer are giving elderly customers priority over 70 with a Sparks card - so that M&S can identify their age - priority.

All of the boxes are also being limited to one per customer.

Those who want to get their hands on a box can order them online at marksandspencer.com.
