Marks and Spencer launches buy now pay later ahead of Black Friday

Shoppers can now enjoy quick fashion fixes at the drop of a hat and with no upfront payments needed.

High street favourite Marks & Spencer  is set to launch a “ buy now, pay later ” service on its website next month as it tries to attract younger customers in the run up to Christmas.

The retailer has teamed up with Clearpay to offer customers the option of paying for orders of more than £30 in interest-free instalments.

With the high street churning out fast fashion faster than we can keep up with these days, the new payment schemes available now including Clearpay and rival Klarna are massively welcomed.

The Australian firm is helping those shoppers on tight budgets with many other stores also following suit.

The new technology is giving the likes of students, low earners and people with young families an easier, more manageable solution and spreading the cost.

Most importantly, those Marks and Spencer customers wanting to use the service will have a limit of £800- so again, helping keep shopping more affordable for it's users.

All you have to do is download the Clearpay App and you can manage your orders and payments there.

The Clearpay service enables customers to spread the total over four instalments paid back across six weeks.

It is a hugely popular plan for retailers globally at the moment- with other huge brands including Boohoo , Foot Locker and JD Sports all also offering the plan to shoppers.

Clearpay, which only launched in the UK three months ago, says it had gained more than 200,000 active customers in the first 15 weeks of trading.

Although it may not be for everyone, if you are looking for a way of making Christmas spending a little more bearable over the coming weeks this could be your answer!
