Marks and Spencer launch first ever burrata for under £3 and it’s in stores now

We can’t be the only ones looking forward to the heatwave this week and more importantly, the chance to see some friend’s we’ve missed in a park, catch up over some cans of drink and most importantly - a picnic to celebrate National Picnic Week. It’s no surprise to us that Marks and Spencer have introduced a picnic item we didn’t know we needed it, until now.

Arguably one of the most luxurious of cheeses, the burrata, is finally launching into an M&S near you. The indulgent cheese will be available for just £2.75 for 150g ball of oozy, gooey goodness we can’t wait to get our hands on one. You’ll struggle to find a more impressive dish to please guests and picnic pals with this week.

To find your nearest M&S store, why not use the handy store locator which we’ve listed here. You’ll also find opening and closing times too.

The cheese is best served across pizza, pasta, risotto or our favourite way, simply served with a selection of juicy, summer tomatoes, couple of fresh basil leaves, drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a twist of fresh black pepper and pinch of salt.

Burrata is a fresh Italian cow’s milk cheese - the outer shell is made of solid mozzarella, but inside is a combination of Stracciatella and cream, which bursts out into luxurious ribbons of stringy rich goodness.

Made in the Italian region of Puglia, famous for its endless hectares of olive trees and vineyards growing velvety red Primitivo grapes. This is staycation dining at its finest, and we couldn’t be more excited to see it on the shelves for our enjoyment. But preferably in our belly too.

So what are you waiting for? We can’t wait to pick up a burrata on our next essential trip to our local M&S. And what better way to celebrate National Picnic week than with a banging burrata.

And burrata isn’t the only reason to visit your local M&S this week as they have just launched new vegan avocado buns and they're perfect for summer barbecues. Available in packs of two, there are now vegan burger and hot dog buns as part of the Plant Kitchen range.

Marks and Spencer have also recently created a brand new ultimate ‘classics’ wine collection. With prices starting from £7, customers can now taste various wines from the most famous wine regions without leaving the country.

And that’s not all, to coincide with customers being able to shop the clothing sections again, 95 M&S cafes have reopened for takeaway coffee.

M&S Foodhall's are currently open for people to shop at. They have daily deliveries from fantastic suppliers, and staff are re-stocking the shelves throughout the day, so customers can stagger their shopping trips. To help keep all customers and colleagues well, M&S stores have implemented additional social distancing measures.
