Marks and Spencer introduces new plus-size brand as shoppers praise 'flattering' clothes

Marks & Spencer has introduced a new brand with an ethos that "effortless style should be available for curvy women everywhere".

Shoppers can now get Live Unlimited clothing from the high street retailer, which specialises in plus-size garments from sizes 12 to 28. M&S said of the brand: "It champions versatility, creating lasting high-quality clothes to complement a busy lifestyle, paying close attention to detail and ensuring flattering fits.

"From perfectly cut wardrobe staples to statement pieces, including gorgeous blouses and dresses, you'll wish you'd heard of Live Unlimited London sooner." The female-founded label features signature prints from subtle florals to statement animal designs, and there are 40 pieces currently available on the Marks & Spencer website.

Some of the garments have already earned five-star reviews from M&S shoppers - including the Aztec Printed Relaxed Top, which comes in either a green or blue mix pattern and is priced at £39. One shopper who was a fan of the top wrote: "Flattering top, love the style. Material is thin, so perfect for abroad."

The Jersey Print Relaxed Top, which will also set you back £39, was given five stars by one shopper too. "Lovely, flattering top. Good fit for size 18/20," they commented in their review.

However, the collection has seemed to divide customers - while some awarded the clothes they bought five stars, some shoppers only gave theirs one. Someone who was not impressed by the range's Jersey Maxi Column Dress, priced at £49, said: "The fabric is very thin and see through and not worth the money."

Similarly, a shopper who bought the Printed Midi Tiered Shirt Dress, which comes with a price tag of £79, wrote in their one-star review: "The quality of the fabric and the finish on the garment do not live up to the price." If you want to try some of the clothes out for yourself, remember that M&S' returns policy allows you to take them back to your nearest store or by post for free, typically giving you 35 days to do so or 14 days for sale items.

There is currently a sale on clothing over on Live Unlimited's own website, with up to 75% off, which is worth a browse if you want to try out the brand without paying the higher prices. The site also has an Outlet section offering more items for less, and offers free UK delivery on orders over £50 as well as free returns.
