Marko Grujic has claimed his time at Liverpool was a success as he prepares for his first return to Anfield since leaving in the summer.
Grujic is hoping to face his old club when Porto take on Jurgen Klopp's side in their Champions League group clash on Wednesday.
The Serbia international midfielder was the first signing of Klopp's reign when arriving from Red Star Belgrade for £5.1million in January 2016.
Loan spells with Cardiff City, Hertha Berlin and then Porto meant Grujic only managed to make 16 appearances in five-and-a-half years contracted with the Reds.

He was sold to Porto in the summer in a £10.5m deal, and he has now been reflecting on his time as a Liverpool player.
Grujic admits that he did not feature as much as he would have liked to have done, but is appreciative of the education and help he received while on Merseyside.
“I would say my career at Liverpool was successful,” Grujic told The Athletic.
“Okay, not in terms of games played or what I personally achieved for the club, but I certainly left Liverpool as a much better player than when I first arrived.
“The coaching staff helped my development and so did the loan spells I had in terms of gaining more experience.
“I learned so much from the senior players at Liverpool about the sacrifices you have to make off the pitch in order to fulfil your full potential.
“That professionalism and dedication in terms of how you should live your life is something I certainly took with me.
“I’ll stick to that for the rest of my career. Of course, I would have loved to play more but I’ll always be grateful for the education I got at Liverpool.”
