Marko Arnautovic is reportedly considering submitting a transfer request in order to try and push through a move to Manchester United.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News , United have made a bid of €8million for the Bologna forward as they try and bolster their attacking options. Arnautovic is already familiar with Erik ten Hag and assistant Steve McClaren, having played under them at Twente.
News of the bid has been widely ridiculed by supporters, although reports suggest Arnautovic is keen on a move to Old Trafford. It has been claimed United’s bid has been rejected by Bologna, although the Austria international is said to be eyeing up a move back to the Premier League.

According to The Telegraph, Arnautovic is ‘extremely keen’ to reunite with Ten Hag and McClaren. The 33-year-old is now said to be contemplating asking Bologna to allow him to leave, with United confident they can sign him with an improved approach.
Elsewhere, United are reportedly set to miss out on RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko. The 19-year-old, who has been linked with a number of clubs, is claimed to be on the verge of a move to RB Leipzig.
Sesko is another forward who has been touted for a move to Old Trafford. The Reds’ lack of options up front were clearly on display on Sunday as they slumped to an opening day defeat to Brighton.
They’re not the only Premier League club to have been linked to the teenager though, with Chelsea also having been suggested as a possible destination. Both sides though now look set to miss out, with Leipzig said to be on the verge of agreeing a deal.
Reports have claimed the Bundesliga club will close a deal this week to sign Sesko in 2023. The agreement will reportedly allow the forward to remain in Austria for another year in order to continue his development.
