Markieff Morris reacts to Nikola Jokic’s cheap shot: ‘I can take my licks and keep pushing’

All the NBA world is talking about is Nikola Jokic’s cheap shot against Markieff Morris.

How long should Jokic be suspended? Should Morris be suspended, too? Which one of them is tougher? Whose brothers would win in a fight between one another? I mean, Jokic’s brothers literally made a Twitter today so they can tweet through it with Marcus Morris.

It’s all pretty silly. The conversation has devolved into playground chatter at this point.

And, with that, it looks like Markieff is ready to just put it all to rest.

He finally spoke out about Jokic’s hit on him and, well, it seems like he’s taking it pretty lightly at this point.

“No doubt I took a hard foul which I always do but I’ve never hit a man with his back turned! Luckily, we built different over here. I can take my licks and keep pushing. Joker 1 smooth 0.”

Insert the “lol” at the end of that and it seems pretty clear that he doesn’t care about this much. At least not any more after sitting with it for a few hours.

It’s pretty clear both of these dudes were wrong. It was just a little on-court scuffle. Everything seems to be OK now. It’s time to move on.

Shoutout to Morris for making that clear with this tweet. Hopefully, everyone else gets the memo.
