We champion brand building on a shoestring. Most small business cannot afford the £10-50K to build a brand around their business and often don’t know how to implement the agency work they do purchase. Our solution was to remove the cost barrier to help businesses position their brand in the marketplace based on solid competitive analysis.
Positioning a brand effectively is essential for a business and can easily equate to 30% - 300% increase in annual turnover (20 years worth of measured client success). Sadly, most small businesses get a logo, craft an identity and forget their strategy. Our first DIY, online brand positioning tool with competitive analysis launched in March and by May I was giving a mini-master class on brand building at SeedCamp’s (a business accelerator) ‘onboarding week’.
We used a MailChimp launch campaign to target our Facebook, LinkedIn and personal contacts lists. Within four days, 100 businesses had spent 20 minutes online building a brand strategy with our tool. Our most effective marketing strategy to date has been to leverage our expertise to entice sales. I research and upload verified competitive analysis on the top five to 10 companies within an industry or business sector, then invite the vertical. The analysis on the successful brands goes into a brand database that businesses can access for a small fee. Phase two of our marketing campaign is now being implemented.
