Sarah Dawkins, director of Dawkins Health Consultancy, explains why the business should win the marketing and PR category of the Guardian Small Business Showcase competition.
In 2013, I won the Company to Watch competition at Hull University, for “making something out of nothing”.
In 2014, I came second in a national entrepreneur competitionorganised by IPSE [The Association of Independent Professionals and the Self Employed], for creating a “niche market”.
Winning competitions has given me free marketing nationally and I am able to share this free marketing on my social networking sites, where I have many followers.
All entries which meet the competition criteria are published and our judging panel select a shortlist of the three for each category. Winners are announced at an awards ceremony in summer 2016.
