Market Harborough-based Infonote Datasystems merges with Code Red Software in Corby

Two software companies have teamed up to form a new, bigger player in the market.

Harborough-based Infonote Datasystems has merged with Code Red Software, based around 10 miles up the road in Corby.

The expanded business will be jointly owned by Infonote managing director Pete Whelan and Code Red MD Andy Rutter.

They design business software and apps for private sector clients and public sector ones including the NHS, to help with things such as staff training and client data analysis.

Pete said: “This is fantastic news for our business and our customers and I can’t wait to get started.

“I would like to extend a warm welcome to Andy and the Code Red team, I am really looking forward to working alongside these guys as we continue to innovate and grow our newly-merged business together in the very exciting tech sector.

“We are bringing the two operations together in Harborough, at our existing offices near the town railway station.

“Essentially we will operate as Infonote, which has been around for a long time, but it really is a straightforward merger.

“Code Red has some really specific software, so we will still use the brand from time to time.

“We’ve got four staff in each team so this gives us a nice size of business.”

Andy Rutter said: “Over the last decade, Code Red has grown from a simple idea into a company with many facets.

“We’re now really excited to be going through our next growth phase – working with Pete and the good folk at Infonote.

“Our teams are highly complementary and we’re all geared up to delivering great software, a great interface, and great support to our clients – old and new.

“We can’t wait.”
