Markelle Fultz goes coast-to-coast, throws down ferocious dunk on the Cavs

The Orlando Magic traded away two draft picks to acquire former No. 1 overall selection Markelle Fultz last season in the hopes of reviving his career after two lost years in Philadelphia, and the gamble already seems to be paying off.

In his regular-season opener in Orlando on Wednesday night, Fultz finished with 12 points and six assists in a 94-85 win over the Cavaliers. Fultz punctuated his night with an emphatic dunk in transition, taking advantage of some truly horrible Cavaliers defense.

Fultz shot 6-of-12 from the field in 23 minutes, and scored both from around the bucket as a slasher and from mid-range. He missed all three of his attempts from beyond the arc.

If Fultz can become a reliable offensive weapon for the Magic off the bench, he could be in the running in the Most Improved Player race by the end of the year.
