Mark Zuckerberg 'asks Facebook staff to blow-dry his sweaty armpits before events'

Whether it’s during a job interview or in the build-up to a first date, during stressful situations, most people will admit to getting a little bit sweaty.

Now, a report claims that Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg copes with his sweat by ‘asking his staff to blow-dry his armpits.’

The claim comes from Bloomberg’s Austin Carr in a review for a book about Zuckerberg coming out this month, by Wired’s Steven Levy.

In his review, Mr Carr wrote: “Zuckerberg is harder to read, ping-ponging in Levy’s portrayal between naive genius and robotic robber baron.

“He, too, is consumed by his public image. (A communications exec is shown blow-drying the CEO’s armpits before speaking appearances to eliminate anxiety sweat.)"

In response to the claim, a Facebook spokeswoman said she ‘doubted’ it was true.

Speaking to Business Insider, Liz Bourgeois joked: "I doubt this is true and if so it would have been at our communications team's request, but surely anyone who has ever worn a grey t-shirt can relate.”

While Facebook hasn’t confirmed the report, it wouldn’t come as a surprise - Zuckerberg regularly wears grey t-shirts for events, and has often been seen sweating while under pressure.

For example, Zuckerberg famously sweated profusely during an on-stage interview with tech journalist Kara Swisher back in 2010.

Hilariously, Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO has now had his say on the claims.

In response to a Twitter user asking if Dorsey has ever had his armpits blow-dried, he replied: "I haven't, but I'd be hpapy to provide that service for anyone on our comms team if need."
