Mark Wright warns I'm A Celeb stars it's the 'most boring four weeks of your life'

Mark Wright has issued a warning to the new I'm A Celebrity campmates ahead of tonight's first episode.

The former TOWIE star, 33, competed in the ITV reality show in 2011 and says being away from family and friends for a whole month feels like forever.

Although he says it's the "most adventurous" thing he has done, it wasn't as good as it seemed from the outside.

He said on Shopping With Keith Lemon: "I think the most adventurous thing I've ever done is taking part in the jungle, I'm A Celebrity, jumping out of a plane, eating stupid insects.

"Once you leave you say, 'wow', on the other hand, it's the most boring four weeks of your life. One day feels like a month."

The reality star said he did make friends on the show, but once they leave the camp, the friendship awkwardly didn't carry on.

Mark added: "You do make unique bonds but a lot of that's put on, it's all like, 'Oh you're my best friend, I can't wait to see you...'

He said it's 'boring' being in the Jungle for four weeks (ITV / Rex Features)

"I genuinely thought I'd see Dougie Poynter, my best mate. If you watch back all the bromance videos, it’s all crying, 'oh you’re my best mate, I can’t wait to see you."

"We've not met up once in nine years, not once," Mark truthfully concluded.

Tonight fans of the show will see 12 celebrities enter the haunted castle in a bid to be crowned winner of the show.

Stars who are in-line to win the show include Mo Farah, Corrie's Beverley Callard, EastEnders actress Jessica Plummer and Strictly's AJ Pritchard, to name a few.

Fans of the long-running ITV series have hailed the line-up as "the best ever".

*I'm A Celebrity continues tomorrow on ITV.
