Mark Wright stunned by 'incredible' fan reaction to stunning home renovations updates

Mark Wright and his wife Michelle Keegan often share updates on the transformation of their lavish Essex mansion but neither expected fans to love it as much.

The reality star often shares glimpses of the renovations with fans but admits that they don't share "too much".

Their Essex pad consists of a stunning pool area complete with cabana sunbeds and several sunloungers but Mark, 36, was left blown away by the interest fans had in their projects.

Speaking ahead of the London Marathon, on whether they expected the reaction, he explained: "Not quite as big reaction as we've had.

"It's been incredible, it's fun, we don't show everything but what we do show, people seem to like it."

While Mark and his family may have found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, the star remained humble and praised his former co-stars saying: "I think everyone is successful from that show in their own right, I wouldn't say I'm the most successful."

The gym-lover recently announced that he won't be competing in this year's Soccer Aid and explained: "Me, my dad (Mark senior) and my brother (Joshua), have our own show coming out in June which is all about challenging ourselves which is sort of tied into the Marathon, doing it together so that'll be fun.

"Me and my dad do a bit of work together, we like working together."

Mark, his parents Carol and Mark and his brother Joshua are running this year's London Marathon as Flora ambassadors with the aim of raising awareness of a healthier lifestyle.

Speaking about training, he said: "My training has been alright, it could have been better, I didn't prepare for long enough, I've done all I can."

Meanwhile, Carol, 63, said: "Our training has been good, it's been hard, the weather's not helped, it's long hours – our training is a lot harder, we're walking."

However, Mark Snr revealed that he and Carol found out they were competing earlier this year, saying: "We didn't know until January that we were actually competing in the marathon this year.

"We were asked to do it in January by Mark and Flora, so we've had three to three and a half months to get prepared.

"Carol walks quite a lot with her friends anyway but with me, it's quite different with working, it's been difficult getting from three miles to whatever we're doing now."

London is predicted to be covered by rain on Sunday, Mark Jnr says: "It does affect your mood because there's probably not going to be as many supporters out there encouraging you because that really is a massive help for the marathon and London's probably the best one for the crowd."

Mark Wright, the ambassador for Flora’s Making Healthy Switches campaign, is running the TCS London Marathon alongside his Mum, Dad, and Brother this Sunday. For more information on Flora’s campaign, head over to Flora’s Instagram to keep up to date on all the developments.
