Mark Wright shockingly discovers ancestor is a murderer on Who Do You Think You Are?

Mark Wright will be seen making the shocking discovery that one of his ancestors is a murderer in the brand new series of BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are?.

It’s been reported Michelle Keegan’s husband is part of the celebrity cast for the 16th series of the show, that delves into the pasts of their ancestors.

But Mark was said to be in for a shock when his family tree was looked into, leading to a major discovery for the former TOWIE star.

According to The Sun Online , the new series will see the star looking into the killer past that lurks within his family.

Following in his wife’s footsteps, Mark makes an appearance on the show, only to learn someone within his family tree is a killer.

A TV source told the publication: “After the amazing discoveries that Michelle had during her appearance on the show, Mark was hoping for similar results.

“They followed his family history all the way back and traced his roots to Eastern Europe and the travelling community.

“But it was the fact that he had a villainous relative who had committed murder that shocked him.

“It’s quite an upsetting discovery to uncover.”

Viewers will see Mark make the discovery when the show returns, while a date has not yet been confirmed by the BBC.

The popular series is now on its 16th series, and recently won a BAFTA at the BAFTA TV Awards 2019.

It topped the Features category, beating the likes of The Great British Bake Off and Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip.

Meanwhile, Mark fans can see the star return to screens in June as he takes on Soccer Aid 2019.
