Mark Wright says anxiety over family's financial collapse drives his need for money

Mark Wright says watching his family lose everything they had makes it impossible for him to stop building on his fortune.

The TOWIE great has an estimated net worth of £4million - but he doesn't plan on stopping there.

He says he is haunted by the recession which cost his parents so big more than 25 years ago.

He told Fabulous Magazine that seeing Carol, now 60 and 64-year-old dad Mark's business investments collapse makes him determined to keep earning.

“Financially we got hit hard and lost everything - I really felt that anxiety as a kid," he revealed.

“I don’t suffer from mental health issues and I’d never claim that, but what I do struggle with is being so driven and passionate about everything I do and always wanting the next thing, the next job, to earn more money and to keep on succeeding."

He added: “That’s something that’s stuck with me all through my life since childhood and comes from the trauma of seeing what my mum and dad went through.

"Just watching them go from having it all to having absolutely nothing.”

Mark and wife Michelle Keegan are back from holiday in Spain.

She has declared spending 14 days in quarantine after returning from the break as totally "worth it".

The new government guidance meant they were were forced to quarantine for two weeks when they got back, but Michelle is adamant it was worth it because they had such a good time.

She posted a throwback picture from the trip on her  Instagram  page and wrote: "14 days in quarantine... worth it".

The couple  jetted to Spain  late last month, travelling to the islands of Majorca and Ibiza as well as Towie hotspot Marbella to soak up the sun and catch up with pals.

After getting back from the trip, Mark posted a picture of himself watching telly and wrote: "Back to quarantine life. 2 weeks!!

"How's ya luck!! Oh well. Looks like I will be doing a whole lot of this."
