Mark Wright's mum Carol gets boob job at 61 and says she's 'not ashamed' of new figure

Mark Wright ’s mum Carol Wright has had a boob job at the age of 61, and says she’s ‘not ashamed’ of wanting to look good.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star, who is mum to Mark, Josh, Jessica and Natalya, opened up on her decision to go under the knife, and said she was fed up of feeling unsexy.

She had her old breast implants - which she had more than 25 years ago - replaced with new, smaller implants, as well as a breast uplift, and Carol is delighted with the results.

She told OK! magazine she feels ‘much more confident’, and encouraged other women to embrace the possibility of cosmetic surgery if they were unhappy with their bodies.

“I'm 61 and there's nothing to be ashamed of. We're not going to have the most amazing boobs by my age and if you want something done like that, then I think, ‘Why not?’” Carol shared.

She said she feels sexier with her new breasts, and promised herself she would have them done for her 60th birthday after mulling over the decision for the last five years.

Carol said she was concerned she would develop a hunchback like her late mother, Nanny Pat, and wanted to have a breast reduction in order to avoid any issues with her posture later in life.

The grandmother confessed she likes to look good, and is delighted she can show off her new assets in chic bikinis and swimsuits after years of having to buy ‘ones with big bras and bones in them’.

"I felt like the unsexiest woman on the beach,” she complained.

However, there is one person who hasn’t been able to fully appreciate her new figure, and that’s her husband Mark.

Carol revealed he has been feeling ‘squeamish’ over the op, because she still has some scars following the procedure.

“I keep showing him them and saying, ‘Don't you think they look good?’ and he says ‘Yeah’, then turns his head. He's a bit too scared to look at the moment!” she laughed.

Last year was busy for Carol and her family, as she was in Mallorca watching her eldest daughter Jessica marry William Lee Kemp in a gorgeous sun kissed ceremony.

Carol is also set to become a grandmother in 2022, after Jessica and William announced they are set to become first-time parents, just weeks after tying the knot.

Her son Josh also confirmed he and wife Hollie are expecting a baby, due later this year.
