Mark Wright leaves wife Michelle Keegan unimpressed with Soccer Aid confession

Mark Wright’s wife Michelle Keegan isn’t so keen on his love for Soccer Aid he has confessed, ahead of him returning for a third year.

He explained his confession about the charity football match for Unicef left her unimpressed, because he openly admitted to her it was the “best day of his life”.

The former TOWIE star left This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in hysterics on the show on Tuesday, as he spoke live from Cape Town ahead of Soccer Aid 2019.

While he’s out in South Africa with Michelle, who is currently filming for the new series of BBC’s Our Girl, Mark has also taken the time to see the work that Unicef does there.

Mark joked that the contest beats his wedding day to Michelle in the stakes of the best day of his life, and she isn’t happy about it.

He explained: “I absolutely love it. My wife hates it because I say it’s the best day of my life.

“It’s unbelievable, it really is, to see the work Unicef do and the donations, and where they go.

“I’ve seen now in South Africa first hand, it’s amazing and always is.”

We’re sure the football match doesn’t really top his ceremony to Michelle, but he has confessed his excitement to take on a new team.

The pair are both currently in South Africa, with Mark having spent time with some of the people Unicef and the donations help.

He revealed: “I’ve been here a couple of weeks, Michelle is working here doing Our Girl so I’m visiting her.

“Just down the road from here in a place called Saldanha, I’m visiting a community and some kids who are benefiting from the help and donations Unicef are putting forward, and honestly it’s completely changing their lives.”

Joining Mark on the line-up are names including Jamie Redknapp, Usain Bolt, Kem Cetinay and Niall Horan.

This Morning airs weekdays and Sundays at 10:30am on ITV.
