Mark Wright has a message for people who say wife Michelle Keegan is 'too slim'

Mark Wright has defended his wife against trolls who comment on social media posts claiming she is 'too slim'.

The TV presenter backed his former Corrie star wife Michelle Keegan after the couple recently posted a series of photos from their jet-set holiday in Ibiza.

But despite her stunning bikini photos on Instagram being flooded with compliments from celeb pals and fans, Michelle's hubby says that trolls claim the actress is too slim and "needs to eat."

Mark, who shot to fame on The Only Way is Essex, was discussing the issue on his sister Jess Wright's No Filter podcast which she presents with two of her best friends.

Explaining his annoyance, the Essex-born star said: "I posted a picture of us last week and underneath in the comments one of them said, 'Michelle, you need to eat'.

Michelle sent social media into a frenzy after sharing her holiday snaps but still received criticism (Michelle Keegan/Instagram)

"But she does eat. I see her eat. She works bloody hard to get that body.

"I see her at the gym running and sweating, so people haven't got the right to say that."

But as well as his beau, Mark revealed that his also receives flack for his own bod.

He added: "I have to defend myself. I'll post a picture with my top off and someone will say, 'Eat some food'.

"Nobody should look down on anybody in this world who wants to train, be slim and look good.

"I'd rather walk around and people say, 'He's obsessed, he only eats salad leaves, he's always in the gym', which is true."

Mark, 32, and Michelle, also 32, wed in a stunning Suffolk ceremony back in May 2015 and the Irlam-born soap star recently spoke about how "horrible" and "frustrating" it is to be constantly questioned on when the couple will start a family .

She slammed the fact she is quizzed on the topic "because it's no one else's business".
