Mark Wright gives tour of building work on dream home after selling off Essex pad

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have started the build on their dream home.

The couple sold off their sprawling Essex mansion and gardens, which held many memories for the pair as their first home together.

Their five-bedroom home has been snapped up by new owners as they move on with creating their ideal home.

They knocked down a £1.3million home to construct their home completely from scratch.

The lovebirds have set their hearts on building a white Georgian manor house with a modern twist.

Only now has Mark given fans a tour of the building site where their home has been grafted.

Already builders have begun work on the roof as Mark gave fans a sneak preview of what's to come.

"Here's a little sneak peek of the roof being built, it feels like you're inside because we've got this tin hat on to stop being rained off, which we've had too much of," he told fans.

"But yeah, it's looking good, just to see the shape of the roof is good to see."

Also, the former TOWIE star shared a glimpse at their journey so far with their home build.

In the montage, a sequence showing the demolition of the original house as well as putting up the scaffolding and starting the build of their dream design.

It's clear from the video that Mark hasn't been shy about getting stuck into some of the ground work himself.

"A hobby and side hustle that I love but last July me and @michkeegan started building our dream home...

"We debated sharing our journey & after a lot of thought we decided we wanted to bring you along with us!"

Mark and Michelle live happily with their dogs, sausage dog Phoebe and chihuahua Pip.
