Mark Wright forced to correct ITV This Morning's Holly Willoughby after awkward photo blunder

Mark Wright joined hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning on Tuesday (February 21) to speak about his brand new TV programme. The TV personality, who found fame after appearing on the reality show The Only Way Is Essex is set to host The Challenge UK, the new competitive five-part series which sees 16 reality TV stars take on a range of gruelling tasks.

Based on the popular US version of the show, the Channel 5 programme will be fronted by Mark Wright and feature TV names including TOWIE star James Lock, dancers Curtis and AJ Pritchard and Love Island’s Kaz Crossley and Kaz Kamwi.

The celebrities will compete against each other in athletic challenges in a bid for a share of a £100,000 prize fund, all whilst living together in a villa. Mark, 36, who is married to actress Michelle Keegan, 35, said the new show is like a mix of Love Island, I'm A Celebrity and SAS Who Dares Wins.

Speaking to Holly and Phil, Mark explained the concept of the show: "It's like all of my favourite shows in one, it's like the jungle because you've got celebrities living in one place together, meets SAS because the challenges are quite hard and brutal and then lots of gorgeous singletons living in a villa together is a bit like Love Island."

Holly quizzed: "So they all live together, and do some of them actually get together?" to which Mark revealed: "Yeah, so until I got to the challenge site the next day and spoke to the producers I didn't know. I asked what happened overnight and they'd say 'these two hooked up' and I'm like am I playing Cilla Black here or a sporting host."

Mark added: "There are a lot of mind games in the challenges and a lot of alliances get formed so there's a lot of twists. What happens in the villa definitely depends on what happens in the challenges and the games."

Mark chatted to Holly and Phil (ITV)

Later in the interview, Mark was asked about his dream multi-million-pound mansion which is now completed. Mark and his wife Michelle bought a mock-Tudor style house in Essex back in October 2019 and began knocking it down in 2020 to rebuild their very own luxury mansion, which is now estimated to be worth around £3.5 million.

But things got a bit awkward when the hosts pulled up pictures of Mark's renovated mansion. As a picture of a grand hallway with two staircases was shown on the screen, the TV star told Holly: "That's not my hallway by the way. I've only got one staircase just so you know."

Looking rather awkward and confused, Holly responded: "Oh, is that just a random Google images hallway?". But Mark said: "It was an inspiration picture that I posted on Instagram."
