Mark Wright ‘buzzing’ as he lands new Heart Radio role

Mark Wright is “buzzing” to return to the airwaves with a new Saturday show on Heart FM.

The former TOWIE star is set to present the new show from 4pm to 7pm every Saturday, starting from July 6, and promised to help listeners get in the weekend spirit with a line-up of “feel good tunes.”

“I’m buzzing to be back on air at Heart,” Wright said. “I’ll play the freshest feel good hits to soundtrack your weekend.

“It’s going to be massive so make sure you join me as we turn up the feel good every Saturday on Heart!”

Heart’s managing editor James Read added: “Mark is the perfect host for Saturday evenings on Heart - he loves his music and he’ll bring a huge energy to his brand new show, which will be packed with the biggest feel good tunes.

“He is incredibly popular with our listeners and we’re very happy to have him back behind the mic at Heart!”

Wright previously presented Heart’s Friday and Saturday night Club Classics from 2012 to 2017, when he stepped back from his radio commitments in order to focus on his presenting work in the United States.

In February, the star announced that he would be quitting his role on US TV show Extra to live in the UK and spend more time with actress wife Michelle Keegan.

“I was [in LA] for nearly two years and had the most amazing time,” he told The Sun. “It just feels like the right time to come back to the UK and live here with my wife and family.”

Wright hosted the UK edition of The Bachelor on Channel 5 earlier this year.

Mark Wright will be on Heart every Saturday from 4pm to 7pm from July 6. Heart is available on 96-107 FM on DAB digital radio, via the Heart app or online at heart.co.uk.
