Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's new £1.3m mansion 'bringing them closer than ever'

Showbiz super couple Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have been brought "closer than ever" by their new mansion.

The couple recently sold up their Essex pad and purchased the £1.3 million "dream" home together, sources revealing they're over the moon to be starting this new chapter together.

They bought an Essex farmhouse back in 2019 and demolished it to make way for their vision.

And they've shared plans for the property on social media, hinting that it will be a "modern" twist on classic Georgian architecture - complete with a bar, an outdoor swimming pool and its own gym.

Other sources say that the project has brought the famous couple closer together after years of working abroad and travelling saw them struggling to spend time together.

"Things are going really well for Mark and Michelle," a source told OK! magazine, "Mark is feeling more settled now that he's not in LA.

"Michelle also worked away often and they spent a lot of time apart.

"When you're not together, it’s hard to sustain a relationship, but they managed to do it and they're closer than ever now. It has been a stressful time– especially for Mark recently – but they're so happy."

Mark sadly lost his uncle, Edward Wright, to Covid-19, while his dad was also unwell with the bug.

Michelle opened up in the past about the "really tough" period during which they hardly saw each other.

She was in South Africa and South-East Asia filming for military drama Our Girl, a role she's since wrapped up, while Mark was pursuing career opportunities across the pond.

She told The Jonathan Ross Show: "We were apart for about four months. It was really tough. People said how did you deal with it and stuff.

"Thank God for FaceTime and things like that.

"You're on a countdown the whole time to just get home. I had six months off when I went home, so I went to America."

She added: "You get so used to living on your own and doing your own thing. Little things...you like your house a certain way and he'd come in and he'd leave his underpants on the floor.

"I'm not a cleaner, I'm not going to move them., they'll be there for five days and I don't care, I'm not moving them."

The pair tied the knot in 2015, after Mark got down on one knee two years before in Dubai.
