Mark Wilf expects ‘a lot better season’ for Vikings in 2019

After advancing to the NFC Championship in 2017, the Vikings took a step back in 2018, finishing with an 8-7-1 record while missing out on the playoffs.

The first year of the Kirk Cousins’ era was a disappointment, but the Vikings made moves on their offensive coaching staff, offensive line, and co-owner Mark Wilf is hoping for better things in 2019.

“We expect a lot better season, and we’re working hard every day,” Wilf said via the Star Tribune. “I know our coaches, and staff, and players are working hard and getting ready for the season.”

The over/under for Vikings’ win total in 2019 is nine, according to Odds Shark.

Missing out on the playoffs for a second-consecutive season would a massive let down for a team that was a Super Bowl favorite in 2018. It would also likely cause Wilf and the rest of ownership to take a hard look at making moves as far as the front office and coaching staff are concerned.
