Mark Thomas: comedian with attitude

Comedian and Channel 4 star Mark Thomas has been paid £1,200 compensation by the police after they admitted unlawfully searching him for his "over-confident" attitude at a demonstration. Commenting on his victory, Thomas told the Guardian: "If over-confidence is a reason for a stop and search, Jonathan Ross should never leave his house."
