Mark Salling's victims won't receive thousands of dollars in restitution in the wake of the "Glee" star's suicide on Tuesday.
Salling, who plead guilty in December to charges of possessing thousands of images of child pornography, had agreed to a plea deal in October 2017 where he would serve a 4-to-7-year sentence and pay $50,000 in restitution to each of his victims.
But since the actor took his own life before his sentencing, the deal was not complete and the judge no longer has the power to order payment to the victims, according to TMZ.
His sentencing was scheduled for March.
It is possible that the victims could sue Salling's estate for damages, the gossip site reported.
Salling, 35, was found hanging from a tree in a park area in the Sunland section of Los Angeles near his home, sources said.
"He was pronounced dead at the scene around 9 a.m.," Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said. "An autopsy is pending. The body is with us. There was no note that I know of, but the investigation is ongoing."
Salling previously attempted suicide by slitting his wrists in August of 2017 ahead of his trial.
