Mark Ronson becomes latest star to read CBeebies Bedtime Story

Mark Ronson will read a Bedtime Story on CBeebies, following the likes of Tom Hardy and Dolly Parton.

The producer and DJ will read Pom Pom Gets The Grumps on the BBC’s channel for pre-school children.

The book is by Sophy Henn and tells the story of a "little panda who gets out of the wrong side of bed".

Ronson, 43, will read the CBeebies Bedtime Story as part of new BBC Education campaign Bring The Noise to "help children discover the joys of music-making".

The musician follows in the footsteps of fellow big names like Sir Elton John, David Hasselhoff, Orlando Bloom, Ewan McGregor and Eddie Redmayne in signing up for the star-studded TV slot.

Other famous faces to take part include Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, Avengers star Chris Evans and Catastrophe’s Rob Delaney, who delivered the first ever Bedtime Story in sign language as a tribute to his late son Henry.

Ronson recently won a Best Original Song Oscar with Lady Gaga for Shallow, the standout track from the film A Star Is Born, and has enjoyed hits including Uptown Funk with Bruno Mars and Nothing Breaks Like A Heart with Miley Cyrus.

He is also known for his work as a producer on hit albums including Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black and Adele’s 19 and 25.

He will appear on CBeebies on September 6 at 6.50pm.
