Leeds United's methods have come under scrutiny this week after their 6-2 thumping at the hands of Manchester United.
It was a disastrous start for the Whites who were two down inside three minutes but didn't fall away from their open, expansive, free-flowing game.
It leaves them 15th in the Premier League and with the worst defensive record in the division.
However, things would be much different for Leeds, according to the predictions of Mark Lawrenson.
The former Liverpool defender has delivered a weekly column pitting his best guesses against a celebrity.
If those predictions were added together, it would leave Leeds seventh in the table, seven places higher and a whopping 11 points better off.
Those points come in the shape of West Ham, where Lawro tipped them for a 2-0 win, Leicester City, where they were once again fancied for victory, as well as three points against Crystal Palace, Wolves and Arsenal.
There's also a 13-goal swing in the goal difference, with Lawrenson's prediction giving Leeds a positive seven, against their actual minus six.
Elsewhere, Lawrenson has Chelsea as Premier League leaders and Liverpool in fourth, despite the Reds boasting the same number of points in both tables.
The Reds' tally of 31 points from 14 games is enough to afford them a four-point buffer in the current table but according to Lawrenson, three teams should have been able to better that effort.
Chelsea are his Premier League leaders at Christmas based on his predictions of them amassing 35 points, with Manchester City (33) and Manchester United ahead of the Reds.
Lawrenson expected Liverpool to drop points against Tottenham, with Roberto Firmino's late winner undoing his 1-1 prediction, while he also expected Liverpool to lose away at Manchester City, 2-0.
Jurgen Klopp's men picked up an extra three points there but dropped points against Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham level things out in his prediction.
By contrast, he's only expected Chelsea to lose once this season, against Manchester United earlier this term, with two draws also thrown in.
