Mark Lawrenson hosts 'Ask me anything' session with fans and the results are hilarious

Former Liverpool player Mark Lawrenson has taken part in a special question and answer session with fans.

The Q&A took place on Reddit in partnership with Paddy Power News, and it produced some hilarious responses.

One question put to the 61-year-old was: "If all the Premier League managers had a Royal Rumble, who would be the winner? Smart money must be on Dyche?"

To which Lawrenson comically replied: "There can only be one winner. Sean Dyche. He scares me from 100 yards away!"

The pundit was then asked: "Why are so many pundits ex-Liverpool players?"

The European Cup winner said: "Good question. I think it's because we won every trophy going - so we were always doing interviews.

"People knew we could speak semi-coherently. We all talk s**** anyway."

Another Reddit user wrote: "What would you rather this season, win the premier league or win the Champions League? Only allowed one!"

A difficult decision, the former Ireland international was clear in his answer as he typed: "Premier League, because it's been so long".

One question read: "Which professional athlete who didn't/doesn't play football do you think would make the best football player, and what position do you think they'd play?"

Lawrenson thinks Olympic legend Mo Farah would have made a good footballer as he explained: "Mo Farah as a flying winger, but your choice of hotel for him would have to be spot on..."

The questions flooded in to the Liverpool icon, one fan asked: "Hi Mark, who is one team you wish you played for or one player you wish you could've played with?"

Lawrenson simply responded: "Barcelona. Messi."

The former defender was also quizzed on his famous moustache, as a Reddit user wrote: "Where's your moustache gone?"

His response proved popular as it received 48 upvotes, Lawrenson said: "On a barbers floor somewhere in Mayfair - never to be seen again.

"I've seen old pics and it looks like I had a rat across my top lip."

Reggin2011 asked: "How difficult is it to prepare for MOTD?"

Lawrenson was firm in his response: "A) I'm not a presenter - that's Lineker B) not been on MOTD for five years C) Who gives a s***".

The five-time league winner went in on Robbie Savage in his reply to the next question.

Tim119 said: "Out of all the pundits you have worked with, who is 1, the one you consider to have the least knowledge on football, 2, the most annoying, 3, the smartest with the most knowledge of football?"

Lawrenson replied: "1. Robbie Savage - never has a man been more aptly named. 2. As above. 3. Graeme Souness."

Napoli5 had a revelation to present to the ex-Brighton player, they wrote: "Have you ever wondered who took your high score on the penalty kick simulator at the National Football Museum when it was at Deepdale? If so, it was me."

In sarcastic fashion he answered: "Well done you! Would you like a Blue Peter badge?"

Some questions were more bizarre than others, Gloridel quizzed: "I'm pretty sure I saw you at a trampoline park in Widnes once, in the last couple of years, or did I dream that?!"

Lawrenson said: "You absolutely did see me. I took my daughter and her four mates."

One user wrote: "Hi Mark, would you rather fight one Andy Carroll sized duck, or 100 duck sized Andy Carrolls?"

The BBC pundit quipped: "100 duck sized Andy Carrolls. Because 95% would be injured anyway."
