Mark Labbett took a swipe at one hopeful during last night's instalment of The Chase.
During Thursday evening's episode, Mark, aka The Beast, hit back when one teammate was branded "best player ever" by another contestant.
The four hopefuls - Lucy, Karen, Martin and Haroon - went up against Mark in a bid to win the show's cash prize.
One contestant left her fellow teammates in complete awe as she managed to accumulate an decent cash sum during the cash-builder round.
Although she believed she could have done better, 38-year-old Lucy from Essex racked up £6,000, leaving her extremely impressed.
When offered the option of either £36,000, £6,000 or a grand by Mark in the head-to-head round, Lucy's teammates urged her to go for the high-thousands.
An astounded Karen said: “I think you are the best player I’ve ever seen on this show."
She added: "You’re amazing. You were so quick, I’d go for the top offer. You are so going to do it.”
While Lucy looked flattered by Karen's compliments, Mark wasn't so sure.
Raging over Karen's comment, Mark said: "The best player you've ever seen?"
He then went on to slam the brunette player: "Do you not watch this show?
"She’s probably not the best player here today. In fact, she certainly isn’t. Good players get 10, not six."
Mark was then beaten by Lucy shortly after, allowing her to move up into the Final Chase.
However, she unfortunately was no match for him, as he ended up beating Lucy and Martin's score of 10 in the last round within 50 seconds.
Viewers tuning in from home took to Twitter to react, with many agreeing with Mark.
One viewer posted: "Best player I’ve ever seen on this“ Clearly not an avid watcher. #TheChase "
Another added: "Karen cant have seen many episode if Lucy is the best player she has ever seen #thechase "
"Best player ever! Obviously not a regular viewer. #thechase ." A third chimed.
A fourth exclaimed: "You're the best player i've ever seen on this" She only got 6 grand, others have got 10k+ #thechase "
