Mark Labbett interrupts Bradley Walsh after recognising contestant on The Chase

Mark Labbett was forced to interrupt Bradley Walsh on The Chase today after recognising a contestant.

Sarah, Ewan, Chris and Mik joined forces on today's show in the hope of taking home thousands of pounds.

The first contestant, Sarah, started with a confident performance securing £7,000 for the team.

But Ewan went one better, adding £8,000 to the prize pot.

It was then up to Chris from Southport to see if she could raise the jackpot total.

Unfortunately, the financial consultant was caught out by some of the trickier questions in the cash builder, earning just £1,000.

But as she went to face Mark Labbett in the head to head, The Beast had an announcement.

He said: "Before we start though, Bradley, you watch the Ryder Cup religiously, I believe. Ask Ewan about it.

"That was his specialist subject in the 2015 grand final of Mastermind.

Bradley said: "You didn't tell me."

Ewan responded: "You didn't ask me."

After Chris successfully beat Mark in the head to head and Mik added £4,000, the contestants headed to the final playing for £20k.

They managed a decent 18 steps, but The Beast matched their score with 28 seconds to go.
