Mark Labbett destroys low offer contestant as The Chase fans celebrate 'karma'

The Chase fans called karma on tonight's show after a contestant took the low offer.

Nigel, Sian, Sam and Alayne tried to outrun The Beast in the hope of winning a huge amount of money.

First contestant Nigel set the standard, securing a solid £4000 for the team before Sian added an extra £2000 to the prize pot.

It was then Oxford student Sam's turn to do his bit for the team.

The 21-year-old had a decent cash builder, reaching £5000.

But his next move stunned viewers at home.

Admitting he had a gameplan, Sam chose Mark Labbett's low offer of £1000 during the head-to-head.

He said: "I think they need me back so I'm going to take the low offer."

However, things didn't go quite to plan for Sam, who was easily knocked out by The Beast.

Fans hailed 'karma', sharing their disappointment at Sam's choice.

Scott tweeted: "Taxi for Sam."

Simon said: "Karma. Got caught by The Beast. Teraaaaaaa."

Ben added: "He deserved that!"

And a fourth said: "Ain't karma wonderful."

Things got worse for Sam, as following Alayne's £3000 contribution, the team outran Mark in the final, winning £9000.
