Mark Labbett was on top-form tonight as he denied contestants on The Chase £81k in a tense final round.
Kevin Eldon, Patrick Baladi, Vicky Williamson and John Craven were appearing on today's celebrity special.
They hoped to win a large amount of money to put towards a charity of their choice.
The first two stars Patrick Baladi and Vicky Williamson set the bar high, adding £10,000 to the prize pot.
But after securing just £3000 in his cash builder, John Craven took a huge gamble and chose the higher offer of £70,000.
Facing The Beast in the head to head, The Beast tried his best to stop John from advancing to the final.
But after answering his questions correctly, John secured the £70k.
Having added £80k, the team wanted to make sure they had the best opportunity of beating The Beast in the final.
They urged the fourth contestant Kevin Eldon to take the £1000 offer in order to head back home.
It proved to be a good strategy as Kevin beat Mark and brought the total charity funds up to £81k.
And with four of the celebrities in the final, the contestants got a four-step advantage.
They managed to add another 12 steps to their lead, meaning The Beast would have to get 16 questions right if he wanted to deny them the win.
And being one of the biggest brainboxes in the country it wasn't hard for Mark to catch them up, beating their score of 16 with 23 seconds still to go on the clock.
However, as it is a celebrity special no one went home empty-handed as each of the contestants got £1000 each to donate to charity.
