Marc Jacobs responds to claims he held a '10-man orgy' at his home and says he's deleted dating app Grindr

Marc Jacobs has rubbished claims made by a US tabloid that he had a '10-man orgy' with people he met on gay dating app Grindr.

The New York Post's gossip column Page Six claimed the designer held the party at his home, with one source disappointingly telling the newspaper “people weren’t as good looking as I expected".

In a post on Instagram, Jacobs said the guest who spoke to the press had been "talking s***" and called the claims "misinformation".

He also suggested his real life was a lot less exciting than the sensationalised report claimed, posting a screen grab of the article and saying “Wild??? I’d say ‘MILD’”.

But he also condemned the ‘guest’ for calling the Post in the first place and “talking s*** about others”.

“And to whichever guest benefitted [sic] from calling this misinformation into the Post, I only wish you good health, happiness, and a long life to enjoy taking advantage of the kindness of strangers and talking shit about others. #reallyqueen?”

The paper also alleged guests at the party were using GHB and ‘Tina’, a form of crystal meth.

In another post on Instagram, Jacobs claimed he wouldn’t be using the app again for a while.

He Photoshopped a shirtless picture of himself over the orange Grindr logo with the text ‘Goodbye (for now) Grindr! It was for group get togethers, but what really excites me is my work!”

In a caption on the post, he said “Yup. I’m gay. Sometimes I enjoy sex. Sometimes!”
