The Baltimore Ravens are not playing their normal brand of football in the first half against the Tennessee Titans. Part of the reason for that might be that running back Mark Ingram appears to have suffered a setback on his calf and spent at least the final drive on the sideline with his helmet off, according to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec.
At halftime, the Ravens have utilized Jackson more as a runner than their running backs. Jackson’s nine rushing attempts is more than Gus Edwards and Ingram combined (seven attempts). Though Baltimore went down 14-0 early, they’ve been throwing the ball far more often and with Jackson in less of a rhythm, the results have been pretty mediocre.
If Ingram’s night is done early, the Ravens are going to have to lean on Edwards and Justice Hill more. Edwards has two carries for 19 yards while Hill has only been used in the passing game thus far.
