DALLAS _ Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said people should use some common sense with regard to unanswered questions surrounding allegations towards Kristaps Porzingis.
Cuban declined to comment, referring questions to the NBA or federal authorities.
"I just can't say anything," Cuban said. "I will say this. Some people need to do their homework and use some common sense. A little bit of common sense is so enlightening."
A woman alleges Porzingis forcibly raped her a year ago when Porzingis was playing with the New York Knicks. But emerging details reported by the New York Post have cast some doubt on the allegations.
Cuban was asked multiple questions on the subject hours before the Mavericks hosted the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night at American Airlines Center.
Eventually, Cuban spelled it out, "I can say nothing, N-O-T-H-I-N-G."
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said Porzingis is with the team and will be on the bench Monday night.
Carlisle said Porzingis would be allowed to take a break from the team, if necessary. Carlisle called to tell him that on Sunday before the team played the Thunder in Oklahoma City.
Porzingis told Carlisle he planned to remain with the team through the final six games of the season.
