Mark Cuban in no hurry to start analyzing Donald Trump's presidency

Mark Cuban was a staunch backer of Hillary Clinton during her failed campaign run at the presidency.

But now that Donald Trump has been sworn in as chief executive, Cuban said he is not in the mood to over-analyze the new president.

He doesn't often disappoint when it comes to dishing out opinions. But for now, he's going to exercise some restraint.

"He's our president and this is my country," Cuban said. "It's a peaceful transition of power. I know people expect me to give him a lot of (grief). But rather than shadow-boxing about what he might do. I'd rather deal with what he does. And there are some positive things and some negative things, just like with any president."

He went on to say: "It's like talking about the Mavs. Sometimes you speak to your fan base. And sometimes you tell the truth."

Asked if he ever really tells the truth, Cuban added: "Whenever I need to. Take what I say seriously, but not literally."
