Mark Cagney paid tribute to his rarely seen children before he officially left Ireland AM last week.
The seasoned broadcaster thanked his four kids before he said goodbye to viewers after 20 years on the popular breakfast show.
He was getting the last word in before Alan Hughes arranged a surprise for him and said: "Just before you go, see those over there? There is Daniel, Sophie, Mary and Gerard."
The camera then panned to the foursome, who joined the crew and show regulars on set, RSVP Live reports.
Mark has been particularly honest about fatherhood in the past.
In a previous interview, the former Virgin Media Television star said: "I'm acutely aware of my own failings as a father."
"I think I'm a... I won't say a lousy father, but I don't think I'm a particularly good one.
"I don't think I'm particularly well equipped for it."

Simon Delaney has been filling in for Mark since his departure on July, 31.
The actor and TV star moved from Ireland AM's sister show, Weekend AM, to join Karen Koster on set.
Delaney has been temporarily replaced by Ray Foley at the weekends.
