Mark Cagney Correction and Apology

In a report published on 20 August 2019 concerning Mark Cagney leaving Ireland AM the headline wrongly stated that Mr Cagney "admits he was fired".

This was not the case.

Mr Cagney was not fired and did not say anything to suggest that he had been.

There was no acrimony whatsoever in the departure.

We are happy to correct the error in the headline and apologise to Mr Cagney for any confusion or embarrassment caused as a result.
