Mark Bradley in shock departure

Linlithgow Rose have announced the shock departure of their manager Mark Bradley after they were defeated by Mussleburgh Athletic at the weekend.

The East of Scotland League side made the announcement on Sunday after the 6-2 hammering the previous day. Bradley’s assistant Paul Ronald has also left the club.

A club statement on Sunday said: “The club has today decided to part company with Mark Bradley and Paul Ronald. Mark and Paul have worked tirelessly for Linlithgow Rose and we are grateful to both for all their efforts.”

Bradley had two spells as manager with the club, Firstly guiding them to he East League title and Scottish Junior Cup Final during his first spell from 2011 to 2014. He returned in May 2017 and turned their fortunes around after previous manager Todd Lumsden had them sitting near the bottom of the league.

Last year they narrowly lost out on the league to Broxburn and this year they are near the top with games in hand and into the second round of the Scottish Cup but it wasn’t enough for the committee at Linlithgow Rose.
