Former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich believes the club must be patient and give time to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer has been under intense scrutiny in recent weeks, as United's results have taken a dramatic dive, with some calling for the club to make a change in the manager's seat.
United have won just five of their past 23 games in all competitions, dating back to last season and their last away victory was that famous Champions League triumph over Paris Saint-Germain.
But despite the clamour for a knee-jerk change of management, Solskjaer's former United teammate Bosnich has urged the club to stay loyal to the Norwegian — though he added a caveat.
"I would stick. I am biased, I must admit that, because I am an ex-team-mate of his," Bosnich told Omnisport.
"He was not only a world-class player but a world-class person and I would stick with him. Every time things are going wrong you can't just change... are you going to have 10 managers in three years' time?
"If you look at the availability around the world it is not as if Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola are free and available. [They should] stick with [Solskjaer]."
Bosnich's "cut off point" would be if United actually find themselves in a relegation battle, as some have outlandishly suggested they could if results continue in the current downward spiral. They're currently in 12th position in the Premier League — two points above the bottom three at this early stage of the campaign.
"However, there is a cut-off point," Bosnich added. "I said this before with Jose [Mourinho] - there is a cut-off with everyone.
"In another 20 games, that would be 28 games into the season. If he is third from bottom they are maybe left with no choice."
